Hello everyone. We here at the UCC have got a whole heap of used and "pre-loved" computing gear dating from the 1960's to the 1980's. Most of it is old and no longer in perfect working order, but is probably of some historical value. We have had most of this gear in storage for the past 10 years, and it has come to the time when we need to clear the space, so apart from a few items that may end up at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney, the rest of it has to disappear! Instead of just dumping the lot into the bin, we are throwing our doors open for anyone who cares to come and have a look and carry away what they want! Yep, if you can carry it away and we don't want it, it's yours for _free_. Just turn up at our "Shenton Park" archive, located near the caretakers house at McGillvray Oval (north side) on Saturday 7th Dec 1996, from 11am. For more info, take a look at: http://www.ucc.gu.uwa.edu.au/shenton/ Anything still there (that isn't going East) by about 3 pm will find its way into the bin! :( -- James Bromberger AKA: UCC President. <http://www.ucc.gu.uwa.edu.au/~james/> Ph: +61-9-380-3901 "Words are too feeble; they cannot contain" Fax: +61-9-444-4855 - Live, "Stage", Throwing Copper Nic: JB84-AU
