FS: Esprit 7" CRT video projector model 69700. After Ampro bought out
Esprit, this became the Ampro 2000 video projector. Although built in
1989, the tubes on this projector are like new and have absolutely no
screen burn, so they should be good for about 8000 hours if not driven
to absolute max, about 2000 hours if driven to max. Measures 21"x30"x9"
and weighs about 85 pounds. This projector has a standard video input
and also a standard computer video (VGA) input which accepts
non-interlaced video signals up to 1024X768 resolution at 60 hertz
refresh rate, with a very sharp picture at this setting. Thus, it makes
for a very nice HDTV when hooked to a computer with suitable HDTV tuner
card and DVD rom. It does need a fairly permanent setup, unlike todays
small portable LCD projectors. Light output is 600 lumens peak, enough
for a 10' screen in the dark, but only 5-6 foot screen with ambient
lighting, and not nearly enough for a sun-drenched room in the daytime.
It was made specifically to be allowed to bolt flat against a ceiling,
since the CRT's are angled, although a fanhole cutout and exhaust would
need to be made. It is located in Blacksburg, but there is a
possibility of delivery to Richmond or Ashbern in NO'VA for a
reasonable fee but at a time of my choosing. I'll be glad to show the
buyer the basics of setting it up (meaning adjusting the 80 or so trim
adjustments to fine tune the sharpness after installing it) or even set
it up for free (it only takes me about an hour), but I will definitely
charge a good bit for travel time.
