>>>>Any word on whether the spy museum is a rip off ($11) or not?>>>>

I just visited the Spy Museum this weekend and I really feel I got my
money's worth.

My only complaints are that we had to wait in line outside for 40
minutes to get into the museum and it was very crowded inside. The
museum itself was very interesting. There were interactive parts such
as an air duct you can crawl through like they do in the movies and a
1940's style telephone booth that you enter alone and when you pick up
the phone you are told the history of specific spy.

The other exhibits were very enlightening. There are numerous
displays of weapons, including an umbrella that fires poison, a
lipstick gun, and many others. There were lots of films that talked
about spies throughout history, and I was very surprised to learn that
many historical figures were actually US spies.

The museum also focused on what happens when spies get caught. I
guess they didn't want to glorify the profession too much. But they
also had exhibits on James Bond and other fictional spies.

I suggest visiting the museum during the week when it will be less
crowded.
