(OT) Need Grass Watering Advice

I live in Northern Virginia near DC. We are experiencing
a drought and tonight I bought a revolving sprinkler at
my local Target store which spreads out 45 square feet of water.

The grass got some water in the spring but it's pretty much
stopped growing now. I fear it may turn brown (as last summer)
if something isn't done. Due to my schedule I can water 
each morning from 4:30 to 5:30 AM  and place it in four
different sections for 10 minutes in each section.

My questions is: Will ten minutes of watering keep it from
dying or turning brown? Can I water at 4:30 (hour before sunrise)
and will it be effective? Will I see a difference? Thank you
for any answers or advice. I cannot water at any other time.

(Last summer the ground was very hard and dry and it looked
like the dust bowl.) I hope this wasn't too off-topic but
I don't know my neighbors well enough to ask them and none of
them water their lawns anyway.
