It's an alias, kindly provided & maintained by an eminent spamfighter friend, whose acquaintance I made when I tried to follow spam-L (and discovered I hadn't a prayer). It puts all my incoming through *his* spamfilters, which are far better than any I could hope to concoct -- or than verizon will try to. Verizon supports phone spammers, fercrissake! >If you have a problem with spam, hiding your address will not solve the >problem, only addressing the spammers themselves will. I have taken two >spammers to court so far, and if a few more folks did this, we would not >have a spam problem. I'm not hiding it -- I'm filtering it. I don't have the time, money, nor expertise to do any better against spammers myself than Br'er Rabbit against a tar baby. Standard advice last time I looked, to ordinary citizens with no hope of becoming hotshots, was to avoid or minimize all possible contact with spammers, and I do that. If you have what it takes to sue them, incarcerate them, or exterminate them electronically, strength to your arm! I don't, alas! -- RR 'Beartooth' Neuswanger karhunhammas (at) lserv.com No spammer could ever be broke or hungry enough. Send spam to spamrecycle@chooseyourmail.com see http://www.cauce.org/
