NOAA Weather Radio

During a night-time fishing trip, a charter boat captain on the
Chesapeake Bay picks up a localized severe thunderstorm alert on his
weather radio and moves his party to alternate fishing grounds. Not long
after, an intense thunderstorm sweeps through his former fishing spot.
Weather reports and warnings like the one mentioned above are broadcast
directly to special radio receivers around the clock by the National
Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Weather Radio network.
