The Louisa County Animal Shelter, run by Friends of Louisa's animals,
had the following dogs available for adoption when I visited on
Saturday. Photos of some of these dogs are available now on the web, and
more will be posted within 24 hours. The URL is

The shelter's phone number is 540-894-0195 and they are located on Rt.
700 approx. one mile from the intersection of Rts. 700 and 522 at
Pendleton, just outside of Mineral. They euthanize, so if you think you
are interested in one of these dogs, please CALL them to let them know!

BEAGLE - Tricolor, 1.5 yr male. In foster care--call 804-293-2616.
BEAGLE/BRITTANY mix - orange/white, 1 yr male. #97-9-D70.
CHOW - Red, 2.5 yr male. #97-9-D39.
BEAGLE (possible mix, she's lanky) - Tricolor, 2 yr female #97-9-D62.
BEAGLE - Tricolor, 3 yr male, #97-9-D43.
AIREDALE mix - 2 yr female, #97-9-D51. Her pups also available now. NICE
dog!
BEAGLES - 2 females, tiny & cute, one tri, one lemon/white, 2 yrs old.

MALAMUTE mix - fluffy female, has blue eyes so not a purebred, #97-9-D45
SIBERIAN HUSKY - male, 2 yrs, 97-9-D44. See photo, may be a mix.

BEAGLE - Tricolor female (lot of black), 1.5 yrs, nursing a 2 wk male
