What is a single stage >level and what is the difference between that and other stages? > Any help will be appreciated. >-- >Officer Mark A.Pannell >University Of Virginia Police Department >E-mail: map@virginia.edu >Home Page: http://poe.acc.virginia.edu/~map/ A multi stage thermostat is used only in large systems. Almost invariably commercial systems, where there is more than one compressor utilized. There are very few homes that require multi stage 'stats. Actually, IMO, virtually no applications should require a digital 'stat, either. A heat pump works best when you find the temperature that suits you best, set it there, and don't touch it again. M.K.
