Well, the alcohol situation is complicated.   You can buy booze in Colonial
Beach from a Maryland privately owned "package" store.   Because of the fear
of competition the state run liquor stores seem to have quite a few specials
so it may even be worth one's while to buy booze in Colonial Beach.   (The
Colonial Beach Food Lion tends to have lower prices than other Food Lion
stores on beer and wine.)
