Can someone e-mail me the moderator's address for VMSNET.SOURCES? I need
to add it to our newsgroup so I can actually post something...

Thanx..

No, you don't. If your mailpaths file is set to point to a valid backbone site
(which means, in this case, a site the provides moderator aliases), your
postings will be forwarded to a special alias at that site that will in turn
forward it to the moderator. This way, you never have to keep track of who
moderates various groups for any moderated group that is supported by those
sites. Such groups include all moderated groups in usenet and VMSnet, and
probably others.

For more info on setting up the mailpaths file, and a list of sites that support
the forwarding, see the posting in news.announce.newusers that includes
mailpaths in the title. All moderated newsgroups in Gene Spafford's posting (in
that same group, among others) that lists moderated groups and their moderators
are supported by this mechanism.

For a short answer, here is the only non-comment line in my mailpaths file:

backbone %s@decwrl.dec.com

(Actually, that's a lie since I'm a moderator, and there is a local moderated
group, but that's the only line you need.) Note that decwrl isn't the only site
that offers this service. You should look at the posting and choose the
closest.
