Has anybody hacked CRASHME (execute a string of random bytes as code) for ALPHA? Doing just a compile (had to #include <processes.h>) on the version 1.8 that was distributed to vmsnet.sources and comp.sources.unix results in a program that only causes a single kind of error. $ crashme 1000 666 10 Crashme: (c) Copyright 1990, 1991 George J. Probable reason is that you have to do certain things in ALPHA (well, on VAX you should also do certainly things, technically, but in practice it isn't as important) in order to be able to execute data as code. -gjc
