MX Address Rewrite Problem

I am having a problem with the address rewrite rules. I am using MX 3.1C.

The following rule is defined:
  define rewrite "<{user}@{host}.dnet.{stuf}.tnv.com>" -
                 "<""{host}::{user}""@vtrm01>"

According to the log file, MX_ROUTER_LOG.LOG, the following recipient address
does not match this rule:

    Recipient #0: <flaforest@vtrv01.dnet.js.vkr.tnv.com>
    No rewrite rules matched <flaforest@vtrv01.dnet.js.vkr.tnv.com>
    Nothing on PATHLIST. Checking BITNET gateways...
    No path patterns matched vtrv01.dnet.js.vkr.tnv.com
    Rewrote <flaforest@vtrv01.dnet.js.vkr.tnv.com>...
         as <flaforest@vtrv01.dnet.js.vkr.tnv.com>

Any constructive advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
