     Hi.

     All my channels are immediate.  However I seem to be winding up
with que lengths of 30 to 50 or so on the local channel specifically.
These messages get delivered the next time the periodic batch job fires
off.

     Why are these messages sitting on a que which is marked as
immediate?  What am I doing wrong?  The local channel entry looks as
follows;

l 822 bidirectional immediate filesperjob 2 queue local_mail logging
northeastern.edu

     I'm running the following;

     VMS 5.5
     PMDF 4.1
     TGV 3.1
