I did the following to a file (it was either an object library or an shareable image and I cannot remember which): COPY foo.bar [] DIFF foo.bar DIFF told me that the files were different (I think it was a single block in a 30000 block file). I am at a loss to explain how this could happen. Any suggestions? BTW, this is a disk on which we run DISKEEPER and DISKEEPER keeps taking ACCVIOs :-) when it goes near some files (like this one) that have 10 or 20 extension headers. ANAL/DISK shows no problems apart from the usual collection of lost files and files marked for delete. Finally, what is the use of the IDENT area in the extension header? Does it matter that the name in the extension header is different to that in the primary header?
