An alternative is to do a conversational boot and SET/STARTUP OPA0: (?syntax) and this will bring the system up with OPA0 as the startup file. You can then recover some space on the system disk. Then halt the machine and reboot it. You don't need to reset the /STARTUP setting, but you will need to reset the STARTUP_P1 setting before rebooting. And don't forget the write current! Once you have fixed it up, I beleive there is a way of setting up the audit server so that the machine simply suspends anything which is waiting on the audit server. You can then log in and cleanup the system disk and then do a SET AUDIT/SERVER=RESUME and everything will carry on as if nothing had happened. -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rob Spencer, BHP Information Technology | Sorry, but my .sig Newcastle, Australia Voice: +61 49 40 1673 | is on .sig leave!
