As a pilot project to experiment with our Virtual Branches
software and large CDROM archives (a Pioneer DRM 1804X for the
pilot project), Acorn Software is making available it's stock of
DECUS and DEC CDROMs available for FTP, GOPHER, and WWW access.
These are NOT savesets, ZIP files, ZOO archives, etc. You may
transfer as little or as much as you wish. Depending on user
demand and interest we will expand the service to larger
libraries and include other CDROMs as appropriate.

Changes:

(27-Dec-1994) We've added the Digital FREEWARE CDROM to our
inventory.

(26-Dec-1994) We've indexed the directory listings of the CDROMs.
You can now search the directory listings using Gopher boolean
searches and go directly to the directories which contain the
items of interest to you. As a consequence, some of the
directory structures have changed. If you've linked to the ACDC
using the old directory structure, you had better check to make
sure you can still access things appropriately.

Try the CDROM Center out and let us know how you like it, what
you would like to see here, what you're willing to donate in the
way of CDs for inclusion, etc. If there are any issues, contact
us at:

        acdc@acornsw.com

The ftp site is:

        URL: ftp://flash.acornsw.com/
        site: flash.acornsw.com
        IP#: 140.186.88.9
        user: anonymous

Then cd to the appropriate volume, e.g., cd vs0114:[000000]. A
gopher server is also available:

        URL: gopher://gopher.acornsw.com/
        site: gopher.acornsw.com
        IP#: 140.186.88.9
        port: 70

Additional information and access to all of the above are also
available through the world wide web (www). If you have access
to a www browser, you can get to us via:

        URL: http://www.acornsw.com/
        IP#: 140.186.88.9
