Technicon is a general-purpose Science Fiction and Fantasy
Convention, with a wide variety of events and activities, such
as a very complete dealer's room, dance, masquerade, art show &
auction, discussion panels, videos, amateur film festival,
and lots and lots of gaming!

Current planned games: AD&D, Ars Magica, D&d (1st edition), DC Heros,
Palladium, a 6-hour Battletech War, Vampire, Mage, Changeling, Werewolf,
Legacy: War of Ages, Rifts, Space Above and Beyond (using Masterbook
rules), Millennium's End, Psychosis, Shadowrun, and Cyberpunk. More
will hopefully be arranged by the time of the con itself.

There will be two LARPG's at Technicon this year:

First LARP:

"Rights of Passage"
The continent of Pelleton has just crawled out of the Dark Times and
into a renaissance of imagination and exploration. States have turned
their attention outward to create empires- but when a mysterious island
appears in the Carn Sea, everyone scrambles for it. To prevent bloodshed,
a conference has been organized amongst all interested parties- including
the natives of the island- to negotiate a settlement. Be a part of
compormise, intrigue, investigation, and romance in "Rights of Passage",
the first LARP by Alternate Realities.

Pre-reg is $8 until March 1, $10 at the door. Please make any checks
payable to Deb Fuller.

For information or to register, the snailmail address is:

Deb Fuller
13 E Holly Ct.
Harrisonburg, VA 22801

Email address is: fullerdr@falcon.jmu.edu

Second LARP:

"Where the Shadows Lie"

Last year's Vampire Larp was such fun that this year's will be extended to
two nights! Using the second edition "Masquerade" rules, we will vamp out
in style, starting Friday night. Bring your leather and chains, your velvet
and feathers. The Prince will be holding court and anyone not there will
be sorry. Characters will be provided! If you've never played before, don't
worry, we'll teach you how fun and easy it is!

There is no pre-reg information avalable for this LARP, so anyone with
questions should write to the main Technicon address, given below, to
the attention of Angel McCoy.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Amateur Film Festival:
Has it always bothered you how SF film festivals had too many rodents
scurrying downbelow? No? Well, too bad, because this year's amateur
film festival is named "And One Without So Much Rat In It". If you want
to submit an entry (even up to and at the con) remember these tips:
1. Entries should not be more than 20 minutes long, unless cleared with
the chief rodent.
2.The prefered medium is VHS in 2-hour mode.
3.Excessive sex, violence, and foul language should not be used
unless essential to the plot.

Entries should be sent to: Barb Poff
                           4541 Logsdon Dr.
                           Annandale, VA 22003

Please send a *copy* of your material. We will do our best to return
everything, but accidents do happen. Entries do not have to be
submitted ahead of time, although it would be appreciated if you
could at least send an approximate time and description of the content
