Obviously, he's read traffic in aus.computers.amiga where the
general opinion seemed to be to go ahead and post, when queried
about creating a new newsgroup.

Also, all the feedback we had from the eastern states, is that there
are no active formal developer groups on the smoggy side. By making
some noise over here, we're encouraging (hopefully) developers over
there to form similar associations. This IMHO would not only be of
benefit to the developers, but also to Amiga users.
