Hi

I've been trying to access Bigpond news server for three weeks without
luck.
Their technical staff appear to be totally unaware of any problem.
Have you had any luck in restoring the service?

Make sure you have the correct name for the server :
news.bigpond.com
Don't know how you do it using "Agent" but in Outlook Express, it was 
necessary to Reset each news group.
(Bit of a pain as all the cache news groups are re-downloaded)
I got round it by setting "download headers only" and "catch up" before 
"synchronising" the server.

Some newsgroups are still missing from the server, and the Bigpond droids 
are in denial  :-)
