I am a worker in the iron ore industry. Work 3 weeks on with 10 days off.
Part of the fly in fly out a worker who used to support the ALP. Voted for
Gallop
last time round because the LIBS wanted to build a Canel which was a
mistake.

I get paid $180,000 per year as a worker which is double what the white
collar workers get.
Up north all the blue collar workers get paid much more than the white
collar workers.

Will be voting LIBS this time round though. Reason I will lose my job
because
of the anti uranium policy Carpenter is going to put into place. This is
very serious
and the union leaders will take part in a march along wioth workers this
Friday
at Parliament House.

What Carpenter fails to understand is that Uranium Ore is already freighted
across
WA in Iron Ore deposits along wioth other deadly materials. Carpenter allows
Mercury
and Lead to be transported on trucks in Perth NOW which are amongst the most
deadly
toxins known to humans.

Further more Murcury from long life light globes are being dumped into land
fill
which is going to poison the water table. Most of Perth water is bore water
which
maybe to late to save.

No forward planning at all on this. Long Life Lights with Mercury ought
to be banned out right.

Most of the ALP plans are not after this election but the following election
which meams
they can change ot as they go or do nothing which is what happened in 2001,
2005 and
now to repeat itself in 2008. Do it once and some may forgive but do it
twice and
people remember, and do it twice and people get angry and rightly so.
