Both of them came across very well - they both expressed themselves
clearly and confidently except for the question about "Do you believe
the polls about people wanting services instead of tax cuts?" which
they both answered very poorly and dishonestly.

All in all, my opinion of both men is higher than it was before I
listened to that debate - Costello is clearly head and shoulders above
Howard.
