Today, Saturday 2.11.2002, happened something very odd to me. It was a sunny afternoon in Mirrabooka, at about 16:30. I drove from Mirrabooka Square onto Yirrigan Drive towards Alexander Drive, and was going to turn right into Dianella Drive slowing down gradually to 20 km/h and even slower, although there was green right arrow. Behind me was a police car tooting as a hooligan as I stopped for a second or two before continuing to drive. Meanwhile, my daughter, not knowing who is behind us and, at the same time worrying about my sudden change of colour, shoved the finger through the window to the driver behind - which this one behind could not bear. Policeman pulled me over and, after I stopped after next intersection, came to my car and started in aggressive manner: "I have to tell you something, and after I shall deal with you (i.e. my daughter, who held infant on her lap}..." I tried to take breath and he, probably thought that I want to say something, shouted: Don't interrupt me!" First of all, he blasted me for stopping at the green light, saying that some less experienced driver might slam into me and thus cause an accident In his furry he didn't realise that I was most terribly sick and, at the green light I stopped because I was not sure if I see the picture right or not; that's why I stoped in the first place. I am diabetic and this is not the first time that I stop on green light; people tooted sometimes, but never ever so impatiently like this time. Then he started to abuse me that he stopped me last week, that he is sure of it, that he knows my face... Did I drunk anything lately, and where I go. I thought, man I am sick, but you are either high or desperate. It was a pathetic sight seeing him shouting at the top of his voice: "I AM a policeman!" After he put yellow sticker for insufficient thread on some of the wheels, and said that he is only cautioning me for the stopping on the green light, and the rest of the fine I will get in the mail. When he disappeared I wanted to put two fingers up in his honour, but was still too sick. What one should do in situations of spells: to stop or continue to drive? Hopefully this one is an exception rather than a rule. Or, maybe, some other branch was at work through that policeman. There was too much furry, too much temper displayed - as if the policeman would know me personally. Who Knows, he did say: "I know your face!". Maybe my face was shown to him, sometimes, somewhere earlier. Please do not ask for policemans number publicly. -- For real business The Business Manager contact me via fax: P.O.
