Tragic human interest strories are a dime a dozen. As you haven't even
given a clue as to the situation it is hard to judge your situation and I will not
even speculate. If it's more tragic than losing your livelihood, your family,
your now broke, you've been ripped off by some bastard or threatened
with death then you may have a chance of getting more than $10,000.

If you do get your story in the media, make sure there is both sides of
the story reported and the media don't screw it around to suit themselves.
Good luck.
