Anyone have any comments or > experiences on this company? If your site takes off unexpectantly (which is what we all are ultimately aiming for), you could get very stung. Note that they state "if your web site generates more traffic than you have specified, you will be charged at a rate of $11.00 per 100 MB block"...so you don't only pay for what you use...if you use more than what you "specify" you plan to use during signup (at $6.60 per 100 MB!) you're going to be taking out a second mortgage. And they only mention "data transfer" in their pricing tables...as well as state "How much data is going to be transferred to and from our Web Site?" elsewhere...so you could very well be clocking up $$$'s just uploading your site as well. I've seen that happen before. You've got to work out your disk space ($1.65 per MB per month, or 8.25c per MB per month if over 25 MB), plus $2.75 per month for each lot of 5 email account boxes you require (in lots of 5), plus $3.30 per month for each 50MB block of traffic your site is *likely* to transfer (inbound *and* outbound??? I'd be checking that...upload a few changes you could have checked locally and you may be paying $$$s for that), plus $11.00 per 100 MB block above and beyond your own estimation (no doubt that's a block too..even if you only go 5MB over), plus a $25.00 setup fee, plus if you don't have your domain name you're up for domain registration ($132.50 for two years, regardless of whether it's a .com or a .com.au name!!! - .com names are only $30/year elsewhere), plus $75 if you want them to register and delegate it for you. My advice...be very careful here Rod. > Regards, > > Rob... > > e-mail: robert-at-shannon-dot-wow-dot-aust-dot-com
