Uranium Ore already on trucks through Perth and has been for decades.
When gold along with other minerals are taken out of the ground there are
traces of uranium ore which has to be seperated here in Perth.

If Uranium ore is so deadly then why is it allowed to be trucked in to
Perth. The facts are Uranium Ore is NOT radio active at all and is handles
by hand by workers in gold mines and other mines across Australia. If
Uranium Ore was radio active then where are the tens of thousands that would
have died.

The ALP WA are run by bloody morons who must have failed at school that or
they are blatent liers that have lied so often that they can no longer tell
the difference between fiction and reality.

There's a new twist on this story at <http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2008/09/02/2352720.htm>
where the Libs are complaining about the ALP adverts.

Methinks, no surprise, that they have not thought this through.

On the one hand you've got their running dogs here droning on about how the ores are safe and
how it is "already on trucks through Perth and has been for decades", but on the other hand Mr
Porter is compaining about the Libs being mis-represented about trucks through Perth!

Can't have it both ways!

(Aside. When Mr Porter was elected recently at a by-election I received one of his electoral
circulars - distributed at taxpayer expense I suspect. But I don't even live in the electorate.
Whoops).

Any rock which contains only a trace of uranium cannot be said to be a uranium ore.

Yes, this uranium is going to be made into even "safer"
radioactive stuff at taxpayer expense ultimately.

We would never get to the stage of refining it or doing something with
it, just as we didn't for iron ore. We are the rock quarry.
We can barely afford our own gas so how we would ever afford uranium....
We also can't safely handle gas, and uranium (past yellowcake) is harder.
You mean the taxpayer expense of the imported workers to actually do the
extra work? Notice how it suddenly became uneconomical when it was
suggested the companies share some of the expenses of that?
