How much do these cost new at the moment?

Around $800 new, was the average price I've seen them advertised.

Hmm, seems like a good deal then.

I'm just not sure if I can easily connect to my current system, as I'm
already using the digital coax input on my AV system for the DVD player.

I'd have to invest in a switch box which supports digital coax as well.

Strong SRT 5200
The Strong SRT 5200 is a fully featured digital set top box that allows
caption users to enjoy captions without the need for a teletext TV or VCR.
All you need is the Strong set top box. You can also use the Strong box to
decode and display Austext information.
The Strong is small, lightweight, easy to connect and install and displays
captions at the push of a button. It uses a slightly larger typeface than
the standard teletext font and is very clear and easy to read. There are a
variety signal output options including SCART and RCA and it can deliver the
best possible RGB signal. With the Strong SRT 5200 you can record captioned
TV programs using any standard VCR. However, you can only receive digital
television in areas where digital broadcasting has commenced. This includes
all capital cities as well as some regional centres.

RRP $479

Copied from an OZ web page which is freely available to anyone who wants to
search for it instead of quoting a ridiculous price, then asking
"Where do you get it ?" when told of a lower price.
