We need to rewrite our RMI suite of Services in EJB
Most of our Services are Thread base and this is find.
Few of our Services are processes base and make the link between ou
new code and old none thread safe C/FORTRAN... code (legacy code)

Like I said we need to rewrite our Services in EJB, so my questions
are:
1- Is there some technology link to EJB that can help me in this work
?
2- What do I do when you want to use a DLL from an EJB ? (DLL are load
in the Process space, so there)
3- What is sun strategy for legacy code ?

Few Idea:
a- Pipeline the users and process them one by one, with a reset in
between.....That is not good enought for us because can be long

b- Spawn a Process that will live on the the EJB's life cycle....This
seem good to me but I read that it not good to spawn a Thread from an
EJB...so even worse for a Process. Does any one see somthing wrong to
spawn a thread or process from a Statefull EJB, I do not see the
problem if I forward the state of my EJB to my Thread ot Process?

Other idea ? or third party tools ?

Thanks

Wilhelm
