The homo Kohl was outed in Milwaukee by other homos who as I recall in he 
early 1990s placed a display ad in the Sheperd Express (a tabloid like the 
Isthmus from the Madison area).

The homos 'reported' Kohl was rescued by Milwaukee Police who found him tied 
up and laying nude in a bathtub of an apartment he leased in Milwaukee that 
Kohl used when he traveled into Milwaukee for his trips to the homo bars. 
The Milwaukee Police apparently falsified the police report which was 
purported to state Kohl had been robbed of his watch, forced to strip by 'a 
robber' who tied him up and left him laying in the bathtub. The police 
report was said to have stated the robber entered Kohl's apartment using an 
unlocked patio door.

The only problem is the homos revealed Kohl's apartment was on the 17th 
floor of the building!

As nearly as can be recalled that is exactly what I read in the ad placed in 
the Shepherd Express.
