I am embarassed to say it, but I am a Princeton student, and the only
way I heard of that was on a New Jersey 101.5 sitting in a Roy Rogers.
The DJ/commentator was arguing with a caller about it or something.

From what I gather, the student claimed to be a minority to get minority
aid, but the person was an every-day white kid from Alabama (or a nearby
southern state).  The woman on the radio couldn't believe they didn't notice
earlier (I think the student had already received $10,000 in aid!).

Honestly, I am not fond of affirmative action, but this student basically
stole $10,000 in aid.

Also, did you know we had a fraudulent student (a junior) last year?  It was
fairly well-known.  The guy had been through college several times under
fake names, and he was a major part of our track team, until a runner from
one of hiw former schools recognized him at a large meet.  I believe he
went to jail, also (in part) because he had received huge amounts of aid
based on false information he gave the University.

Geeze, this stuff keeps happening!
