My wife and I are beginning a job search in the hope of finding employment 
in SW New York/NW Pennsylvania.  We both like what we're doing now, but 
not where we're doing it.  We're in Yonkers, NY, and crime is rising up 
around us... we want to move west, but not too far west.  I went to high 
school in Warren, PA, and I like the area.  We'd like to live within an 
area roughly 50 mi west, 50 mi north or south, and 200 mi east of there, 
if possible;  we will consider other nearby areas, especially north toward 
Rochester.

I'm currently assistant G.M. at a commercial bakery.  My employment 
history includes programming, running, and supporting a wide range of 
computer software and systems, and supporting users of those systems with 
a wide range of experience.

I have experience with a wide variety of administrative tasks;  currently 
they include handling personnel matters, supervising our bookkeeper, and 
interfacing with our accountant.  My administrative duties have included 
documenting and revising operating procedures, writing our employee 
handbook, and preparing up to 450-page grant reports.

My previous life was as a sound recording engineer.

I'd prefer to work in an educational institution or an established 
not-for-profit or entrepeneurial for-profit organization with a socially 
responsible mission statement, but I'll consider all options.

My wife is currently a Jr. Accountant working in Accounts Receivable and 
General Ledger.  She also has experience working in Accounts Payable, 
Payroll, and the credit card division of a bank.

She'd also prefer a position in a educational institution (she currently 
works for a private college), but she, too, is flexible.

We both are enrolled at present in an undergraduate studies program at 
the college where she works -- the opportunity to continue to pursue our 
studies is important to both of us in any choices we might make.
