Lots of questions. I'm not going to attempt answering everything. Most of this is opinion and as such I'm not going to try for anywhere near a complete justification. Before I proceed I remember hearing somewhere (I think it may have been on the radio) the best way to think of the whole situation is as if the crusades never ended... I'd prefer some of my Arabic speaking friends get in touch and tell me what they think of the tapes. Apart from the large organisations I've heard hints some of the tapes may have been altered. > The "co-alition" did a good job at bombing a third world country into the > dust, (whooo dumping bombs on already oppressed people) True. CNN reported some of the local tribes were also using the US bombing to settle old disputes. > They managed to kill a bunch of Canadian Soldiers with out any > accountability (None, nothing, If a cop shot a bunch of protesters after > being told not to open fire, would they be held accountable). Two points here. I think the pilot was a scapegoat. He was given the OK to drop the bombs. He wasn't even told by the AWAC there were training exercises in this well known training area. The second point is about the cops. Take a look at what happened at Kent State. More recently look at the APEC and GXX summits. > Now they have a president that If memory serves me correct sent the most > people to death when he was in charge of Texas in that state's history, (I > was also under the impression that he sent mentally handicapped people as > well as kids there as well, but I'm unsure of the validity of that so I > will not assume it to be factual until I look it up.) I seem to remember that as well. > He can't wait for his summer session to end so he can get some bill signed > so he can go bomb Iraq in to a big hole as well. The current one he is bothered about is the Homeland Security Office (the American Gestapo). > The whole time the "war on terrorism" was going on I haven't heard anything > that Iraq has done to anyone or anything that would warrant such and attack. Neither have I. The talk on the news is for a "first strike". In the past Hussein has not been the nicest person on the planet. I don't think it is the business of the Americans or anybody else to make the political decisions for another country. I also think the Kurds in the North and tribes living in the swamps to the South should be allowed to separate their land from Iraq because of the evil way Hussein has treated them. > Isn't there already a trade embargo on this country? (does this include oil > as well?) Yes. > Has anyone spoken to anyone in Iraq to see if they have perhaps heard > anything? CNN used to have the occasional report from inside Iraq. Of course this is now just as likely as not to be censored. > I don't think I see the world with blinders on but perhaps I may have been. > If anyone has any reliable, relatively unbiased links that could answer any > of the above or refute it. Please post them here. Hang around the universities. Ask the foreign students. You may need to learn another language but it would be a whole lot better than watching the US networks all the time. > BOOKLEARNED!!!!! > > PS. I have a few other things for you to ponder as well. > 1. What happened to the pilot who dropped the bomb on the Canadian Soldiers? A scapegoat probably being courtmarshalled. > 2. With the embargo on Iraq, does the US still buy oil from them? Yes. > 3. What has Iraq "supposed" to have done to Warrant some mass destruction of > their cities and murder of their civilians? This was answered in another message. Hussein is not a nice guy. > 4. Where was the overwhelming proof that "Osama" was behind 9/11, Even if > it was Osama, why was Afghanistan Attacked? > 5. Do you think that there is any connection with all the recent "corporate > accounting scams" to the 9/11 as well? No. I think the buddies of the VP just thought they could get away with theft. > 6. Weren't Iraq, and Afghanistan allies of the states in the 80's? Even before that. So was Iran until the Shah was overthrown. > PPS.. Thanks in advance. Here is something to think about. BTW, you may have to do some hunting to find the actual information. Early on, Hussein claims the US gave Iraq permission to invade Kuwait. I think I remember an interview where an Iraqi representative said the timing was the idea of the US. At first the Americans denied the meeting. Later they got caught when a secretary spoke out. Then they denied the contents of the conversation. Coincidentally this was on Bush Sr.s watch. Another coincidence is he is an "oilman". FYI, I don't think badly of the Americans. I think they are victims of special interest propaganda. It looks as though something big is in the works and the "special interests" are looking to grab as much control as they can before it happens.
