I'm okay with burning, rar files, iso images and the like. I >currently use xnews. Is newsbin pro enough of an improvement to give that a >try? What I like about it 1. Multiple threads (term?). Basically, it can get message segments from multiple servers. That increases the speed of the dowmloads. Sort of like runnning four copies of Agent at once, each getting a part. It also increases completion. If a message is in 50 parts and 1-49 are on your server, and 2-50 are on another, it has the smarts to get the missing peice form one or the other and completing the message. You can add as many servers as you want to. If you subscribe to a premium service, you can go with a cheaper account and just use it to get fills for stuff missing on the free servers. 2. It has an oddometer that measures the downlads (headers, boides, everything), so you can make sure you don't go over the limit on your cable modem -- Shaw is getting very picky about this now. 3. You can tell it to skip incompletes until it completes them. But you can show the incompletes to figure out what's missing, enable the premium server and then get the headers agoin. It has the smarts to skip the headers it has locally and just get the ones the premium server has that you don't. All in all a great prog for binaires. HTH -- Peter D PS. I dunno if you are posting on the wpg group or can.legal, but if wpg, can you remove can.legal 'cos it's gone off-topic for that group. Thanks. :-)
