Make: made by Tandberg for IBM (RS/6000 line of workstations)

Model: TDC3600 (250Mb without compression)

Interface: SCSI

Buffer size TDC3600 - 64K

Transfer rate: TDC3600 - 5-6Mb/min

Record. format: TDC3600 - QIC-150 (DC6250/250Mb, DC6150/150Mb)
READS, BUT CAN NOT WRITE TO DC600A (though could be
		software-configured to do so)

Read compatib.: TDC3600 - QIC-120, QIC-24

Form factor: 5 1/4", half-height, INTERNAL

Documentation: n/a, but those drives have a sticker describing the jumpers
a copy of the MODE SELECT man page is available upon
		request

Compatibility: this is standard SCSI tape drive and that works with any
semi-decent SCSI software. TDC3600 has been
successfully tested with the following configurations:

		OS/2 2.1

SUN 3/50, 3/60, as well as a variety of Sparcstations
(someone told me 3/60 did not boot off TDC3600)

		1542B/SYTOS+ (DOS and OS2, using Archive 2150S,
Wangtek 5150ES and Tandberg 3660 drivers that come
				with SYTOS+)
		1542B/NOVABACK (DOS and OS2)
		1542B/ASPITAR (MSDOS port of GNUTAR)
				Central Point Backup
		GTAK/OS2.1
		Future Domain 850/1660/SYTOS (MSDOS)
		Always IN 2000/NOVABACK
		Amiga (BTN driver), Quarterback, Amiback
		Mac (Fastback, Retrospect)
XENIX, BSD386/FD, LINUX, SCO Unix, but Esix 4.0.3 could
not boot with TDC3600 on the SCSI bus
Apple IIGS using a CV Tech Ramfast card 3.0m or better
This SCSI card does image backup only but image and file
backups can be done with GS TAPE software (Tim Gramms author)

Many of these drives come pre-configured to retension
a cartridge on reset. This feature could be disabled via
TandbergConf(Amiga) available on aminet sites or
		GTAK212B/TAPE(OS2) available from ftp.cdrom.com.
I know of no MSDOS tape-configuration software, though
GTAK212B/TAPE is rumoured to be compileable under MSDOS too.

Condition: refurbished, 45 day warranty

Price: TDC3600 - $189
		Verbatim DC6250/250Mb cartridge - $17

Shipping: $9 - UPS Ground/COD/insurance
		$11 - UPS 3 day/COD/insurance
		$13 - UPS 2 day/COD/insurance
