Forgot one other question :(

When I do a grep xyz *, I would like to feed the
hits into the vi command line... sort of like:

grep -l pattern * | xargs vi

and vi always issues an error that it's standard
input and output must be a terminal... Any idea
how to do this correctly???

Thanks again (now I use a file that I edit :(

vi `grep -l pattern *`

Notice those quotemarks are backticks (usually found just below the ESC key).
