Helo Netters, Sorry about lack of my internet resources. nodeid is available from ftp.upe.ac.za under /pub/msdos/nodeid both the source and binary is available. Some comments. Thanks for the email. nodeid will work if no netx/vlm is loaded. 0's will be returned as an invalid DOS subfunction call should return invalid info. No checking for IPX is necessary. Yes, to use USERLIST/A is a valid comment. This program we have on f:\login or f:login when the network shell fires up, and under the public subdirectory. Just type nodeid and you have the answer, no having to take the user through a login and through a few menus, which is typically the case with a virtually computer illiterate enduser 3km away on the telephone. Erk! ftp.sun.ac.za is FULL. No uploads allowed :-( Regards Daryl >>Helo Netters, >>I enclose some source code to determine the network address of a >>workstation attached to a Novell Netware server. >>On campus we find it usefull, especially in matching up nodes for >>a corresponding BOOTP over IP. >>I have used both Microsoft 7.00 and Borland C 3.1 to compile this. >>Using tiny, small or medium models tends to crash some ODI drivers. >>I am sorry but I have as yet no Anon FTP site to dump the executable. >>You will have to request it via email. >>Comments would be appreciated, especially those in a Netware 4.X >>environment only.
