The CS job market only *appears* to be tight right now because of the recession. I suspect that as soon as employers start turning a buck at a faster rate employment will once again pick up. By way of comparison, I am currently finishing my PhD in theoretical physics and as soon as I am done, I will be looking for a job in software because there are NO jobs in physics. Part of the problem with cs jobs is that there are a lot of people like me around who slop over from other fields to pollute your job market. Kevin
