I got stock "pump and dump" spam with "secure PDF's" where you were
supposed to be able to read them but not copy text to the clipboard or
print them.

And I found that at least one open source PDF program (the Cygwin
version of PDF2TEXT) could be recompiled with comment markers around
the part that checks for the "secure" flag and it would then make a
text file from a secure PDF which it wouldn't before. And I am
guessing that the other programs in this package (including XPDF which
is an X-Windows alternative to Adobe Acrobat Reader) will also stop
respecting the "secure" flag if you just comment out the check in the
source code and recompile.
