I am trying to create an automated script to remove any version of Adobe Reader a machine has on it and install Adobe Reader 8.1. It works fine for machines that do not have any pro products installed, but if a machine has a pro product the uninstaller breaks it. When I try to run a pro product after removing any readers on the machine, the pro product thinks it is broken and does a repair. This is undesired. I am looking for a way to remove any reader and put the newest reader on with out effecting any pro products the user has installed on their machine. Has anyone else come across this problem?
