OK, OS 9 is dead to developers, but adobe might be just a little bit behind the times...so, you MAY be able to trick it into thinking you have an os 9/classic installation by making a system folder w/ preferences, application support, fonts, and help folders. Doing the classic thing w/ the installer probably has something to do with keeping all the installations syncronized (same fonts and plug-ins in classic or X), but it's prettymuch pointless and the sooner adobe abandons the X requires classic approach the better.
