I installed Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 on a PC which uses Windows 95, which I view on a Netscape 4.5 browser. (I use IE too, but only for newsgroups and E-mail.)
I used it several times the next day. However, two days after I installed Adobe Acrobat, my PC would not turn on. (The screen monitor did, but not the tower.) I tried fiddling with the power surge protector---nothing. So I gave up. Six hours later, I tried again, and it worked--and is still working (*knocks on wood).
Could Adobe have had something to do with the problem? Could Adobe Acrobat 5.0 cause an overload on Netscape 4.5?
