Ok, so I have searched and searched for a solution, but with no luck. Hear is my problem and if anyone can help I really appreciate it, I'm going nuts here.

I am running a mixer into an external soundcard that is generally used to convert LP's to CD. It has no software, its just a box with RCA l/r ins and outs. and then a USB cable runs to my PC. I'm able to import the audio through the mixer then external sound card into a track in adobe audition 1.5, it writes the wave and shows the levels moving, BUT I can't hear it coming out of my headphone jack on the front of my PC.

Now when I stop recording and playback I can hear it fine, but not while recording. So I have the track ins and outs routed to the right places (outs to realtek HD, ins to USB codec), my levels are up in the control panel, I've done everything I know, is there something I missing? Please help
