Can you maybe say it in laymen's terms? arnyk says "any system with a desktop computer is grounded through its 3-wire cord." Is that talking about my actual power cord? The 3 pronged plug that goes in the wall? I get confused with all this ground talk. Then, as for the cable box, how is that grounded? Is it grounded outside my house when the cable guy hooked all this up? When Steve says "you need to keep the cablebox ground away from your local ground connection" I don't really understand what the 2 are, so I don't know how to keep them apart. What's strange is that at my last apartment I had this exact same setup and I never had a problem. Maybe the cable wasn't grounded there? I appreciate the responses. This gives me something to go with...I was completely stumped. I'm hoping the cable company might provide me with the isolator...and hoping I don't lose picture quality because of it. Any other info would be great. Thanks!
