Ok...well I went on outside to checkout my cable install and sure enough there was a ground wire going from the splitter on the side of my house to the top of the elctrical box. I removed the ground from the splitter and came in to test and sure enough, no more noise! So, what exactly does this ground do? Am I gonna die if I leave it unconnected?
