quality trouble when inserting audio

I have some songs I recorded in wave format and when I insert them into
AA 1.5 the quality is quite suppressed.  I have done all the normalise,
dynamic processing and hard limiting(seperate and together) and the
quality is still lessened.  How can I import music without any loss to
quality?

I very much appreciate your help.
