For mny years I have used AA1.5 with XP Pro, faultlessly. I recentlt bought a new PC OEM loaded with Vista Home Premium. In blissful ignorance I loaded AA1.5 and continued my happy and fruitful relationship with the software. Recently I had to re-image the hard drive, re-install all my software, including AA1.5. Now I get a message to the effect that it can't find the Windows recording mixer and that soundvol32 /r is missing. Why did AA1.5 work flawlessly under OEM Vista and not with the factory image? I note Steinberg Cuebase LE doesn't work under Vista too as the setup for Cuebase is severely hampered.
