Have successfully configured both Vista and AA1.5 settings and AA is running beautifully.

In AA Options->Device properties->Wave out tab I selected Speakers and 4-byte PCM.

In Wave In tab I selected Line in.

In AA Options->Device order->Recording devices I chose Line In

In AA Options->Device order->Playback devices I chose Speakers

In Control Panel->Hardware and sounds->Sound->Manage audio devices I ticked 'speakers ' in the Playback tab, 'Line in' in the Recording tab.

Am using the rear inputs and outputs to connect to a Yamaha MW10 mini-mixer. Now that I know analog works, I'll revert to straight digital/USB for communicating with my PC. Obviously I'll need to go back and adjust settings in Control Panel and in AA Options.

I still get a soundvol error message re the Windows mixer applet when I choose Options->Windows recording mixer, but I don't care.

Other than that, it's beautifully stable, and noise-free.
