Can we convert pdf to eps directly ? From documentation it looks as we can, but I am getting errors, with the direct conversion. The one which works is PDF -> Raster -> EPS, but the quality comes down significantly. I am using multipage pdf and in the resulting eps, only the first page is visible. Whats the best way for this kind of conversions. Thanks

EPS is a single-page format by definition, because Encapsulated PostScript was designed to place graphics on a page in a document. Not sure if AGS can generate multiple single-page EPS files from a multi-page PDF file. So maybe it only creates an EPS for the first page. It is possible, because my company's server-side PDF/EPS batch conversion software can do this. AGS can't directly convert from PDF to EPS but Adobe Document Server (ADS) can--it has a convertPDFToEPS command The convertPDFToEPS command converts one page at a time. If you want to convert a 5 page PDF, you would call convertPDFToEPS 5 times while specifying page numbers.
