I am trying to overlay 1.5 pdf onto a 1.4 pdf and get this error: Could not complete this operation because : PDF command failed due to PDFlib error: This direct object already has a container.. this works for other pdfs that I have that look similar but I can't tell what is different about these two that causes this error. What direct object is it refering to?

I've not seen that error but here's a couple of guesses. - Maybe the 1.5 pdf overlay uses a feature not supported by the main 1.4 pdf. - Maybe one of the PDFs is damaged. (Try a save as from Acrobat on both files to see if that changes anything) Try doing the overlay in Acrobat and see if that works or generates a similar error.
