Heather, this message is often a result of having a different printer set as your system default as compared to when your chapters were originally created, because fonts can be resident in printers, or else you don't have the necessary font files from your previous computer installed on your new system. After you get the missing fonts message and click OK, you should also see the FM console window in your task bar, listing the specific fonts that are "missing". Do you recognize them as being ones you had available from your previous computer? Can you give us some examples of which fonts are listed? The best way to solve the problem would be to a) ensure you have moved / installed all your fonts from your previous system, and b) to be sure you have the same printers installed on your new system that you had on your previous system. That way you'll avoid having this problem with more FM files from the old system. Or else you can accept the font substitutions that FM offers to make, but you may end up having to do lots of cleanup on the files if the substituted fonts change the layout in unexpected ways. And you'll have to do this with every file that encounters the problem, possibly being very time-consuming. Thomas Michanek <http://go.to/framers/> and Tim Murray <http://www.techknowledgecorp.com> have some excellent advice on their websites about dealing with missing font problems. Sheila
