Caroline, in addition to Russ's comments, missing fonts are often a result of having a different printer driver set as your system default than what was used when FM chapter(s) were originally created or last worked on. For example, if you had the Distiller printer instance set as your default printer, you might have some Postscript fonts in your doc(s), but if you later open the same docs when you had a non-Postscript office laser of some sort as the default, those Postscript fonts might not be available. As Russ says, if this is the situation when you're trying to Save As PDF, FM can't fully open each chapter "in the background" as it needs to do, because of the font errors.
